I would like to attend, would you all mind a tent camper. I don't have a tear drop as of yet! The gathering is close by my stomping grounds and I feel it would be a good way to "introduce " the teardrop experience to my wife. She needs to be convinced on us getting one of these in the future.........

OK Danny, I'll be watching for the payment to arrive via a secret payment method...........it isn't likely to blow up or explode like a water baloon or come down from the sky at night with little lights atached will it?
Or will I need to drop it in the freezer for a while?
OH.......and a reminder to ya Danny, there is a good chance there will be fire restrictions so please don't bring any explosives.

allfink, Mike and Brenda, Mandy,
Will be looking forward to putting your names on the list and boy is it filling up fast.

Mark, you are definately welcome to come join in the fun, teardrop or no teardrop. BTW one of my "other kids" and her husband (who is in the military) are in the process of moving to El Paso and I have told to come visit us sometime over the weekend since they are so close to Cloudcroft

I am actually waiting on a call from t he Park Ranger to confirm that there are 20 sites for trailers. The specs on the park list maximum vehicles at 20 so I just want to be sure that means 20 sites not 10 cars/ trucks and 10 trailers. (this was a suggestion from Woodyperk6 who told me the Texas State Parks consider a vehicle a tow vehicle and a trailer

I update the list when I receive payments. So check the list if you have mailed your payment.

Looking forward to January (Bahama cruise with my daughters, April (the annual Beavers Bend gathering -need to plan soon) and July (Cloudcrft NM gathering) Hopefully some in between

Linda,

Are there any other spaces in the park available? I have had at least 5 others tell me they have sent in a check. We are really looking forward to this one, with a lot of new people to meet.

:applause:  :D

The upper fir campground is already reserved. There are a couple of other group campgrounds in the area but a short drive. There are also small campgrounds that are $14.00 or so per night.
I am waiting on a return call (will call them back today) to be certain there are 20 sites. I will also ask if we can double up as pads are about 35' if i read correctly.
I will try to report back this evening.

I don't blame everyone for wanting to go to the cool mountains in the middle of july

BiZman:

There appear to be many campgrounds close to Cloudcroft NM.

Finding a place close to the
Lincoln National Forest Lower Fir Group Area may be very possible.

I would first call and ask their opinion:
