Is it just me, or do things get REALLY messy seriously quickly. I am piling up scrap wood everywhere...

I drilled the holes in my trailer this weekend, finally. That took forever of course...oil, slow drilling...man, drilling steel takes some patience!

viewing some work...it helps me to think when i double joint myself..

After a really long day redoing the floor...and coming to peace with the fact that its not going to be absolutely perfect I decided to call it a day when this happened:

I dont understand why i hurt so bad after i work on the TD..i mean i know i am outta shape, but damn...my body hurts after a day of working on it!

more this weekend..hopefully. it's gettin chilly out, so i have a feelin the progress will slow seriously. i hate being cold!!

 Yep and you have other things to build. Counters, tables, stuff 8) Mandy you are hurting because most people don't lean over and work so hard. Just wait till you are on a ladder reaching over....

You have a good start. Not very many of us get it perfect. ;)

Mandy,

I must admit I'm been chuckling watching your build and reading your posts.

ARE YOU LEARNING ANYTHING NEW? Like, everday it sounds like.

Keep at it, you are doing a good job. AND when it gets cold, put warmer clothes on!!!!

Any progress is good Mandy... Nice work. You're probably not done breaking bits either, sorry to be the one to break it to you... :)

I had about 40 holes to drill and tap in my frame. I drilled them all and started to tap them when my right arm got tired. I switched to my left and broke 2 taps in the next 2 holes :) I now know not to power tap with my left arm :)

Lookin good Mandy -

Hi all,

It feels like its been forever since i posted...mostly because, it has! I havent really had time or energy to work on the tear at all. strep throat has hit our house pretty good...have a home refinance in the works so all the stuff i have neglected has to be done of course...and then i found out that i am losing my job at the end of the year! merry christmas and a happy new year to me! needless to say, i am not putting any money into the TD right now...all going to my "when i dont have a job" fund.

I'll be back though!!! I'm not giving up...just taking a short (i hope) break.

Hi Mandy.
Sorry to hear the news about your job its a real bummer.

I lost my job on monday so my build is also on the back burner. Mine was a live in job so I also became homeless at the same time  :( Good thing the season of goodwill is upon us :tipsy: or I might start to feel a little down about things

I just have to think next year thing can only get better

I hope things improve for you also and I will look out for your build thread to move on

Best wishes and I hope you dont let the set backs get in the way of a

MERRY CHRISTMAS :P :P

Mandy

I've been on "cutback" rations since Sept 15th when I was laid off so I can empathize.

Gonna get on my soapbox for a minute.... You will probably have an easier time finding re-employment than I am. You don't have to fight that supposedly non-existent "age barrier". Off my soapbox!!

I've probably spent more money on the tear (and gathering parts for #2) than I should have during that time. It will all work out in the end.

Mandy,
Sorry to hear about your job ending soon. Good luck in your search for a new one.

The good news about your td.............it's started, you don't have to buy everything at once so add when and if you can, and you can come back to it any time.

take care,
Barb

Thanks for the encouraging words all. Hoepfully the hunt for something new will go well before the end of the year.

As for the TD, yes, it is def started and I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that it could take a while to get back to it..but, eventually!

Hi Mandy,

Here's hoping you get your house refinanced before they find out your income has changed! (I assume you're going for a better and/or lower monthly payment.) Yes, I also think things will start getting better next year, probably in the spring. You're smart to curtail spending so you can get through the next couple months. Anyway, you're working outside on that trailer and it's mighty cold out there in the winter. Maybe it's just a forced 'breather' break for ya! ...time to play with and train that puppy!

Wishing you the best!
