Looks great, seems the majority of offroad TD's are being built at least partially over the wheels. Wondering if it's the same reason I did, to keep the track the same as the Jeep but without loosing that shoulder room inside when in bed?

Thanks guys. SteveF and stomperxj I'm actually stealing a lot of your ideas.

I started out with a traditional TD design but my wife saw yours designs and liked how they didn't seem as claustrophobic. She really liked the window up front too.

I went with the over-tire design for the extra room and I'm going to use the wheel flares to match the Jeep.

Nice update Mitch... Just personal preference but those wheel wells look a little tall... Nice work though... I like all the deck mounting bolts...

Them's some massive wheel wells, I'm guessing the shackles will be flat against the frame a long time before the tyres rub

Just looked again, no leaf springs torsion suspension? How much travel do they give?

The axle has a max travel of 5 inches. Yeah, I have more than enough room.

The reason they are so tall is for 2 reasons. First: The counter top will cross over the portion and it will sit on top of the wells to help support the interior and kitchen cabinets. Second: I am going to use the same fender flares as my Jeep and at that height I will be able to cut the exterior wall to match the Jeep wheel well.

For the interior I figured it didn't matter that much if the wells were 10 inches tall or 18 inches tall they would take up the same amount of leg room from side to side. I just hope it works out like I planned. :worship:
