Okay guys, humor me...

What would look better behind a VW Jetta? A KIT? A CUB? or an ultra lightweight midget trailer? Assume(pardon the cliche') that each weighs 800# and each has a tongue weight of 130#. The Jetta can handle all 3 options easily.

But what would really look better. My first thought was to build a midget trailer. It gives me the space inside, a bed that converts into a table, plus a galley out back.

But it's a foot and a half wider than the Jetta, and a couple feet taller too!

At least a 5'wide KIT or a 5' wide CUB would only be 6" wider than the Jetta.

Your thoughts?

I think I like the top trailer best with the VW. The bottom one does not look correct with your cars' body style. (IMHO)

Can anyone take the KIT photo above, and stretch it so that it looks 5' wide? I think that's beyond my basic photochop skills!

Definately the Cub would be a little more in proportion with the Jetta.

From looking at all the pics I've found so far, most teardrops seem to be pulled with smaller vehicles. I have a '97 Intrepid and have just started looking for ideas for what to build to pull with this vehicle. Any thoughts? Suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks for stretching it... I would not tuck the wheels under the body. I would leave the wheels and the fenders outside the body just as they are now.

I was trying to get a feel if the body seemed too wide for that profile, but it's kind of hard to tell in that view. I'll need to find a photo that looks more at the rear of the teardrop.

Maybe I'll just have to model it up behind the car!!!

I'm with Chip! Black, Stainless, Chrome, It would really compliment the VW.
Or, How about woody sides for the Jetta, and build a woody!
I could cover the Jetta in wood for you! \:D/
