Question for those who wear glasses

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Thu Nov 27, 2008 11:55 pm

Aaron,
What I notice at bedtime if my eyes are real tired...
I'll still see the bi-focal area of the lens when I first take my glasses off...
More so if the lights are off or my eyes are closed.
Now that I'm no longer self employed and working 20+ hours each day, I haven't noticed it as much.
About the only thing that makes my eyes tired now is welding for an entire shift and that's only happened a few times in over a year now.

 Ok made my appointment. Arron there are other reasons you might see a barrier around your eyes so a Dr. might be a good idea. Having lost the effective use of my eyes for months I find I value them a whole lot more.

There are times I think I'm someplace else when I'm not there, and when I look, there I am , Gone! Is that the same thing? Walt

I have worn glasses for 69-17= duh... 52 years.

I feel naked without them. I keep an old pair in the garage, which I use to protect my eyes from 'stuff'. They are pitted. So, I assume, my eyes have been protected from grinding, etc......

I do drive without them once in a while, to give my eyes a rest and a different perspective.

I've worn glasses for about 57 years and I still take them off as much as possible. Laser won't correct my eyes, too many problems. When I was a child, I used to "loose" them regularly. Now, I have to wear them when I'm driving.

The frame is what bothers me, too. I wear ones with very little frame around them. Those aren't so bad. No Ghosts.
