What kind of mickey mouse championship does the NCAA think I am going to waste my time watching? One game, whose participants are determined by computer rankings coaches and writers???? Really...

If you are a casual watcher, you watch one game, and maybe another because of local or Alumni interest. IF there was a real championship, you would watch as many games as possible to see the progress just like the NCAA Basketball tourney. You wouldn't have Ball state wus out of playing another undefeated team like Boise state because they can.

Thanks but no thanks Myles Brand. I'll spend my time watching something else.

I hear ya Mark.

Look, this championship thing is never going to be settled until ALL conferences have a conference championship game. Such as the SEC, ACC, Big 12 etc. currently do. (Those with 12 teams)

Until that happens, we'll be subjected to this "BS" Championship Series.

There are currently 12 conferences (counting Independents as a conference) some with 8 teams some with 9 and some with 10. I worked a formula up about a year ago consolidating some conferences and got it to 10 conferences. Independents would go to the Big East except for Notre Dame who would go to the Big Ten, even though the have 11 teams, yankee logic, go figure. ;>)
But ND would bring them up to 12 teams.

Then you could break up the WAC and put them in the PAC 10, Sun Belt & Mtn West. Anyway, after all is said and done you'd be left with ten conferences of 12 teams each. Then all conferences could have a conference champion.

Then you just have to determine who's conference would play who. Plus, you'd have an odd game. But it could be done.

You will be stuck with the BS series if you keep watching all the stupid bowls. The college Pres are in love with the money. If they see the money go down to less than the NCAA Basketball tourney, they will change. football is the cash cow for NCAA sports. I say boycott the crappy bowl games for a couple years. Go outside and work on your teardrop, or watch something else.

I don't care how they do it, pick the 16 best teams at the end of the year and lets have a tourney. Surely that would be better than it is today. Heck with the polls, and computers deciding why even play a season? It's more like a fantasy football championship than a national championship.

Why do I want to watch Ball state and Tulsa in some game that means nothing???? Who care who wins the rose bowl. As it is structured now, only one more game matters, I saw there is a NHL game that night so I think I'll watch the Sharks this year instead.

I hate the current system. Alabama always seems to get the short end of the stick.

Roll Tide, by the way.

Sherrie-Tuscaloosa born.
Good grief, isnt it the weekend yet?
Maybe if I sleep in the camper the week
will pass faster
