PLYWOOD

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

I purchase my plywood through a specialty wood store, they've always been able to call the manufacturer and get what ever spec info like glue type I need quickly. I've found that a lot of Cabinet grade plywood has exterior glue.

When you're not sure, just take a small piece and do a 30 minute boil test.

I really like BS1088 Okoume plywood, although you do pay a higher price for the quality and weight savings. Other features of BS1088 grade plywood worth thinking about are void-free construction and higher ply count.

I thought when they called PLYWOOD for instance ACX it means A Good side C not so good side and last but not least X exterior Glue .Call me CRAZY but thats just the way the jobs I do are spec ed Now Why would you use exterior glue when you do not have to? Titebond 3 is no better for interior projects then say titebond wood glue. I do not mean to sound fresh but I have been a Carpenter for over 20yrs and I personally have never used exterior glue for an indoor project or interior glue for an exterior project.
