Help with Firefox

For everyone who has issues with Firefox (Ff), I suggest you use the very
helpful mozillaZine
Firefox Support Forum
. Just like our forum, you will find answers and
knowledgeable helpful people there. Many times your questions are already
answered in threads.

As an example:
Arne wrote > I used to be real happy with Firefox. Then I did something or
got an upgrade, now can't save bookmarks... have to go to i.e. to do that...
royal pain, but no one has a fix for it...
***
So I open uP the Firefox forum page here
Then I look to the RIGHT HAND SIDE in the PANEL and use the Knowledge Base: SEARCH BOX
I chose to put in the following search words ="Bookmarks not saving Firefox 3" and the results are click~able

So Arne ~ read down those pages and most likely your answer is there already for you.

I've been using Thunderbird and Firefox for a long time now, on both the Mac and the PC.

Internet Explorer looks strange!!!

Mike:

Just my opinion~
To my way of thinking IE use is like drawing a target fore and aft on yourself for attackers to come on down and get in your business.

Yea, I don't want a target on me...

BTW, I use Foxmarks too, which is the best add-on tool for Firefox I have ever found. My bookmarks follow me every where I go, and they always resurface after a computer crash!!! :o

Andrew are you listening?

I tried to make sense of the fix for my problem by following the links, but way too complex for my old brain, so decided to uninstall Mozilla... after reinstalling the bookmark feature seems to be working.

Also, since I left the box unchecked when I did the uninstall, my old bookmarks are still in place... I thought they would disappear into the ether, but no so..... thank you all for your suggestions.

Or, just do a Windows Update!

Since we're on the subject, I was using Mozilla and loved it but I had some glitches I couldn't fix so I switched back to IE. Now I'm using IE 8 Beta and am pretty happy with it. Not sure if the security problem affects this version or not. I was about ready to try Safari, any thoughts on that?
