Slide Hardware

Postby Guest » Thu Jul 29, 2004 11:42 pm

I stumbled upon this site that has heavy duty drawer slides. Has anyone considered using these for a slide out or pop-up?
This slide here is rated for 600lbs.

Hey there Mike,
Is it possible to post images that are in my personal album here on this site, (that I uploaded from my computer) directly into my post like you have done above?
Or do all images shown directly in a post need to be on the internet and not behind a firewall?

The reason why I'm asking is because a did a post on suggest a gathering and I tried everything I could think of to get my images from my personal album to appear directly into the post and could not.

Hey Mike, doesn't that wood for your mock-ups get expensive? My local hobby store here charges about 3 bucks for a little 4" x 12" piece.

I checked out slides for just such a design. I priced a 48" slide and they are $200 per pair. The load rating on them (or at least the ones I looked at) start at 500lbs for the 18" slides and started dropping off quickly after that. I figured it would be cheaper to design my own slid.

All images need to be on the internet to be able to display them as above.

There are a couple places that seem to work... check em out in this thread...

No, I don't go to the hobby store. Everything you see me cutting up is scraps from other projects, typically 1/4" luan or something similar.
