How do you guys and gals do it?

Ask questions about Harbor Freight trailers, or questions about building your own...

Oh heck no...you can easily whittle out a plug or two from the home-made picture frame of your mother-in-law!!!

Here's my wooden nickel - I think Richard meant the whole teardrop. In which case if Ken wants to build a "standie" he will need to use a sequoia tree, which is kinda' hard to come by these days...

On the serious note, some woodworkers do prefer to use boards cut from the same log for esthetic purposes.

As others have said a few pieces of well placed trim is what I had planned all along, I just wasnt sure where or how they would layout util cabinets and other things went together because as always I never build with a plan just a vision.

RV's typically are built with the cabinets fastened to the frame from the outside before the skin is put on.

In my trailer the bulkheads, the bottoms of the interior cabinets and the face frames are all structural and were screwed in place from the outside before the skin was attached.

I used some screws, glue and pins for the skin, but doing it again, I'd figure a way to glue it on without any metal fasteners.

Hi,
I glued my walls together. I had both the insulation and the wiring completed before I glued the inside to the outside. I used regular yellow carpenter's glue after testing some of the more expensive and exotic stuff. ( I couldn't really tell any difference.) I left a channel in the bottom of the walls, then stood them up on a strip glued and screwed to the floor. I used glue and staples to fasten the walls to the strip around the edge of the floor, both inside and outside.
I used every wastebasket and five galloon can I had around the house to press the sides together. Twenty four hours later, it was on solid piece! Strips of trim were glued and brad nailed over the edge of the floor plywood for a finished look. I have almost no visible fasteners.
Questions? Just ask.
