Source for water fill??

...Steve, I used one very similar to this I think the one I used was from Perko(can't find it now) and ordered from Defender...it has a much cleaner look than most of what else I found and had a built in "opener" instead of the key that most of these "deck fill" type use

We have the plastic version. I sure would like to find a better metal one if anyone knows of one. I keep asking George at the fixit shop to get his tooled up but nothing so far. Gosh darn it we are going to have to tool one up ourselves someday.

I keep looking at those deck fills like Jack showed but don't have a practical way to use them in a side wall application.

I was looking at that one this afternoon, online. Is it nice? Is the key big, so I won't lose it?
Is the Stainless thick?

Here's the one I picked up. Also shown are some neat little folding hooks, and a "clamshell" type vent.....

And there 316 Stainless, and the water fill is plenty heavy...

Forgot to mention, I also picked up a "hose" fill,(not shown in the pics) also 316 Stainless, if I ever camp with a water hose hookup.

...Cary, have you seen one in person, I am using it a side wall application, the opening is plenty big enough to insert a water hose...there is also an attachment for a water hose that is (about) a foot long plastic tube that just screws onto the hose and is then iinserted into the "fill"
I looked at the type Ken showed but didn't want to worry about losing the key, the one I found had the "key" built in as a flip out tab

You know that you should install a pressure regulator for water hook ups that attach the trailer, with a hose, from a hose bib to the trailer. Just to be on the safe side not to blow off hoses and fittings. Many campgrounds have variable water presure that you don't find in a residential setting. A leak at night would be a real drag unlees you can blame someone else for the wet spot or raging flood inside

Madjack is right about the openings on the deck water fills for sidewall mounting you posted I have dealt with are big enough for the hose to fit in no problem

Steve, the metal is nice and thick. It is stainless steel, and it has a very sturdy, good sized, key that comes with it. I am pretty happy with the purchase myself, and since there are many West Marine stores in my neck of the woods, I was able to really look at it before purchasing it.
