Electrowarmth electrical connection question...

Postby Juneaudave » Fri Jan 02, 2009 4:39 pm

Can anyone tell me off-hand if the 12 V. electrical plug is at the head or the foot on the Electrowarmth 12V. Bunk Warmers? Right now, I only have hookups in the cabinets under my feet, but could run 12V off the reading lights up front if needed. Given the cold this year, I'm pretty sure one of these guys is the next investment!!!

Does it matter? If it's on the head end and you want it on the foot end just turn it 180 degrees. The controls may be at your feet but it's not that far away. The cord is probably long enough for it to not matter anyway.

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

"T" models, which have a 10 foot long cord, should work no matter which end of your bed has the power outlet. :)

A: Yes! Our "T" models where designed with truck drivers in mind. The cord is 10 feet long which gives you plenty of length to reach from the cigarette lighter socket to your bunk.

Thank you...I guess it doesn't really matter if the cord is ten feet long or if you put the controls at your feet, both would work. I had this weird vision of a loose 12 V patch cord running from my feet to my head and causing all sorts of Juneaudave-ish problems...and got to thinking about whether it would be worth putting in a couple 12v. plugs in the front. I have a power circuit there...but didn't build in any plugs because I didn't foresee the need.
