1 Door vs. 2?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Q3, How much are you prepared to pay for peace of mind

I always fit two doors. The Handbrake is not partial to me clambering all over her when she is fast asleep. ;)

Q4, Do you think you might ever sell the unit...put 2 doors in...you won't regret it and will probably do so if you don't....

Correct, two door is the only way to go just for that reason if no other.

We use our one door for going in and out during the day. The other door has a clip-on canvas room for changing clothes and a porta-potty. "We just couldn't get by with only one door..........ever." quote, the wife.

Also

having 2 doors can be good for exiting on the leeward side of inclement weather.

I know of several local campgrounds which this is useful. With the weather going in either one direction or the exact opposite. Quite often on the same night.

As the old saying goes, "don't exit your tear on the windward side of your tear in the middle of the night".

I always have a Rubbermaid stool right outside my door to stand on when I do my middle of the night stargazing....

I have 2 doors in my Tear. I sleep on a cot, so one door is always temporarily blocked. Loading the tear is easier and when I do use the whole floor for sleeping instead of a cot, the 2nd door comes in handy.

I would build in 2 doors. You can always just not use the 2nd one, but it is there if you need it.

Tears with 2 doors are bear proof. When the bear comes in one door, you can go out the other

Arne,

That lunch does seem to have the vegetables covered, but for me it would need to include some beef or venison jerky to actually be a meal........

Well, it includes most of the 5 food groups: starch, grease, alcohol and veggies..... I forget the 5th one. Oh, salt.... that makes 5 (v8 has 1/2 my daily quota of sodium). So, I'm good to go.... take a nap... big lunches do that to me. Thank you for your support.

My first TD had one door. Being a 4-wide, it was not planned for anyone more than me.

Functionally, it worked fine. The only thing I missed was the second window that would have been in the second door. Cross ventilation is good.

When it came time to sell, I got my asking price within 3 hours of posting it in the "For Sale" forum.
