When are folks heading that way? Are their any Friday takers? I am thinking of heading up in the evening on Friday. If I am there first (weather permitting) I'll check the wind! :D

Kurt, are you sure you don't want to pull the trailer out of storage????

My lincoln log set up has the gray roof and sides and I was thinking the interior may stay warm with little effort during the day if the sun is out due to it's darker color and heavier material. At night we can hang some string lights or I can bring my big duel work light. Any ideas on that front?

9 more days! :?

Hey Scott,
I was referring to the tent. When I purchased the 10X20 it only came with a roof. I purchased a full side set w/ roof later that was grey in color not the white style it came with. I think this would add quite a bit of radiant heat during the day 8) if the sun comes out. :worship:
The shelter requires assembly (this is why I said lincoln log set) and if you show up on Friday I could sure use some help. I think Bob is kicking around Friday as well.

My buddy from work is coming along to participate in the insanity. He has been wanting a trailer (Teardrop) for some time now and I told him these outings are the best place to see all the home built skills at work. :applause:

We need a break from work, it has been a long winter and it isnt even half done. Been looking at the long term weather sites and found this one. Made me smile, Ha! http://www.theweatherwiz.com/forcast-usa.php
Hope they are right, I typed in cleveland and didnt like what it said.
Keep warm all. Erv

Erv, the Gumbo is ready and is in the freezer right now. All the food is typical of our gatherings which always turn in to a food fest.

I'll be down on Friday or Saturday to bring my Gumbo. Jim is supplying the rice since he is making the "Carribean Red Beans and Rice". You'l like them both.

Looks like the weather will be "normal" for Indiana in January so make the best of it.

Mark, thanks for the heads up. We don't want anyone sitting (alone) freezing at the wrong campground. :snowstorm:

APPLE PIE UPDATE !!

You remember those 2 cups extra , they seem to have evaporated.

O K I'll fess up. Old Bob ( another old bob , 74 missing a lung from cancer and no larnyx from throat cancer) any way I stop about 2 times a week to check on him and have a couple beers with him. Well yesterday I came bearing gifts a pint of APPLE PIE. God I wish you all could have seen his eyes he was shocked and amazed and couldn't rave enough about it. His son was there and he gave it an enthusiastic 2 thumbs up.
I got home late and Vic fessed up to being into it as well( and she's not a big drinker) After 4 or 5 shot glasses full she was glowing and happy.
I think it is a success. At this rate I hope there is some left. We are down to 1 1/2 gallons

God knows I ain't computer savey enough I can barely find the switch to turn it on.

A real time feed of our campout , could you imagine the

Bob, I'm not sure if we could get a wifi connection from the park. Although, there is a small airport very near (right behind) the camping area, so, who knows.

Regardless, if I come down on Friday (or Staurday), I can take videos and get them on youtube within an hour (or so) of when I leave to go home.

I could show the ice cycles forming and the happy campers the same day. This would be the best that I could do.
If we had a web cam and a wifi connection the campout could be sent to the Internet. I'm not into web cams but the technology is there. Let's see who chimes in on this one.

Next weather system is on the way.
Looks like another example of great timing.

BTW,The dress code for the "Shivaree" is Hawaiian shirts and shorts. This of course will be under the coveralls and snow mobile suits.

The blenders will be full of Maragritas (frozen, of course) and Scott's bringin' ice cream.

Time to party in the snow. :applause:

with (2) tanks of fuel at the ready, but if there is a big snow I just don't know. Me being from Michigan, I have seen it all (and then some) but know when to say when.

Getting paid to pull a set of doubles through Chicago's weather is one thing (stressful) but having the choice is another. We will just have to see what materializes. Kurt's forecast has me  but the weather channel says something different.

I will get the trailer ready this weekend along with the

Heck I have to show off the Porch light Bob gave me.
