Do we have a heater for in the Party tent?

I wouldn't leave home without it Scott
with (2) tanks of fuel at the ready, but if there is a big snow I just don't know. Me being from Michigan, I have seen it all (and then some) but know when to say when.

Getting paid to pull a set of doubles through Chicago's weather is one thing (stressful) but having the choice is another. We will just have to see what materializes.

I've never pulled on bad roads and don't know that I would. We'll wait and see. I don't want anyone out that's not fully comfortable with it, I'd rather see you all in May than risk any one in an accident.
No one should feel like they have to make it.

Geez...I go away for a few days and have 3 pages of forum to read. You guys have been busy. Looks like we will have snow on the ground which is fine by me as long as we are done with the ice. We had a major ice storm up in the Fort Wayne area just before Christmas and it was a mess. Temperature shouldn't be a problem as long as the roads are good. Not sure if I will get there on Friday yet, depends on work schedule.

Put three new pics in my album. One was last week, I was working on the tear so I moved it in the back yard. The other two are from today of the snow we have gotten so far. They say we are going to get 4 more and another 3 tomorrow. Jan is in one and I am in the other. Next week isnt looking to good for me if it keeps snowing. I take care of a retirement place and have to keep it cleared of snow, drive and walks. And also plow a few other places around town. It is a mess here as far as the roads go. So looking forward to getting away. The snow started here on Nov. 18th and we seem to get it every other day. So far I have a total of 36 ins. just for Nov. and Dec. here in Medina. Think warm for me! Ha.

Latest update.

Looks like the wind chill might be an issue. As long as the "ez up" walls go all the way to the ground (unlike last year), it shouldn't be a problem.

Might get a little sun on Saturday. We'll see.

I plan to as long as the group decides to. As we all know from last year plans can quickly change, justs like these weather reports.
As far as the sides, I am pretty sure they go all the way to the ground but not positive as the sides are still in their original packaging. I plan to get them out and bungie them before departure. If you remember, the shelter is the "Tiny Traveling Theater".

This is the total we ended up with in Medina. Looks like I get a
one day break and more is on it's way. Hope the weather man is wrong for the end of the week. Snow all week. Temp. will not be the worry, it's if we can get away from work.

I just love Indiana !

The diversity in weather is always refreshing. Gives one a reason to wake up , curious as to what will be found outside. Sunshine and blue skys or perhaps the pristene glisten of new fallen snow. Perhaps your dog frozen to a tree while trying to pee at -35 wind chill.

Weather reports are all over the map and vary from source to source for this weekend.

However being the intrepid travelers we are , we will see ya Saturday for sure. Friday night is iffy because of Vickies dental surgery. If she is up for it we will try for Friday also. There are so many soups and stews and such we decided to bring specialty breads and shaved ham for sandwiches. With her recovering she didn't want to try and cook and one of the few things I don't try and beat her at is her dumplin's.

My ton work truck is in the shop getting the headlight switch fixed so we can pull with it this time. This old beast will have plenty of room for firewood and the normal camping junk.

Just for kicks, I think we should bring along a couple of snow shovels. It sounds like the snow (expected for Tuesday) won't be melted off by the weekend.

Looks as if Friday's campers will be the true adventurers. I'm going to be down Saturday and take some movies.
Might have to use time lapse setting if everyone is frozen.

It's only a 1000 watt but it might be good enough power for a small heater or small crock pot.

Ok, thanks Kurt. I am getting a EU2000i and would have loved to have heard how quiet they are in action. I checked out a 3000 but not the 2000.
