Epoxy Paint

Has anyone seen the expoy paint made by Rustolium? It just arrived at my local True Value hardware store. Has anyone used it or considered using it for exterior ply application on a TD?

Got a URL where I can read about this? I'd like to compare it to the UniFlex 255 which is used on boat hulls. That what I put on the Baja Benroy. The UniFlex 255 is great stuff, and with the right roller, it went on nice too! I would definitely use it again!

What was covering the Baja Benroy before you painted it? Did you skin it with aluminum first then paint or did you just use the plywood walls?

I just painted right on the wood. The edges were soaked with CPES clear penetrating epoxy sealer.

How smooth did it lay down? How many coats?

Now that you have had it on for a while, how is it standing up? Is there any cracking of the finish? How are the edges holding up? Any rock chips?...................

I'm sure I'll think of some more questions!

It is in the same product line. But one Version that I am interested in idoes not has the color "flecks" embeded in the paint. It comes in true white.

The garage stuff comes with a bag of "flecks". It is an option wether you want to put them on or not. You are supposed to sprinkle them on when you are finished painting but before the paint dries. Although, I haven't seen the stuff that you mentioned. Maybe you can compare them and see which one is cheaper, I think the garage is only available in gray. The garage kit makes one gallon when mixed up.
