This how the story was and how it went.
As you may know we had picked out a nice little girl Samoyed from one of the litters. Which was Pup T2.
We were supposed to travel up North to pick her up and our entire family fell down with the flu and high fever. So the trip got cancelled and we had to rearrange the entire voyage up. And it was a long trip. 580 plus some kilometers one way and then of course back again.
We did not go up as of yet when all of a sudden I receive an email from the Kennel stating that there is a Samoyed pup from the other litter which was the U Litter. Located nearby us, It had been taken home on Xmas Day.
A pup with an eye pigment discoloration. So as it happened I told the lady at the Kennel to have them contact us asap. So we made arrangements to meet here at our house. To see this pup. After thinking about it she came over to us to live. And it is a totally different pup than originally picked out. And was a show dog.
What happened was that this young couple reported that they are selling a 9 week pup due to no time at hand. After 2 or 3 weeks of having it in their home and now giving her up and giving up with the entire scenerio.
What the real reason is we dont have a clue. Why take a dog and then after a few weeks dump her sort of speak. Ohhh well.
We were told that the pup is wild and takes up a lot of time
After she came to our house this is what we discovered about her.
1 - She is paper trained already.
2 - She sits when asked
3 Shakes the paw when asked.
4 Follows me around like glue or a magnet.
5 She obeys real well so far when we go out and with no leash.
6 Rides in the car and sleep the entire time there.
7 She falls asleep at 2100 hrs. And wakes up at 0630 by licking my face.
Positive things I say yes. She doesnt jump on the furniture as we thought would happen.
Playful - Very
She can have a temper as we have seen a few times if teased.
Sharp teeth - Very much so. Ive got the holes on my hands to prove it.
Now after having her my question is to myself. Did I really want to go running all over the country or countries in order to gain a few ribbons and trophys to satisfy my thirst.
I cant see myself running around in circles in a show ring & to see the judge pulling and stretching and gauking into the dogs mouth and judging her looks.
Our interest is in a fun & healthy pup that has a good temperament. And is enjoyable in the family. And who will be our camping or hiking buddy.
Regardless of the pigmentation problem - Nice pup. And as far as problems. Not as stated by previous owners. A pup has to live a puppy life. And a loving family to be with.
So its no show rings or collecting of trophies or ribbons to collect dust.
Hope to have her in a Dog Therapy program later.
Our sons have fun with her . Including the youngest Samuel. Who plays tugga war with her all the time.
So the pup in the photo with my wife and son is not the pup on the previous photos and videos. We saved a lot by getting this pup now. Included in the package came almost or aprox. 100 Euros worth of toys, food, leashes and grooming brushes and nice dishes for food and water.
So this is the way things evolved. Id say we dont have any regrets and also to find out the reality of a young pup that was so called problamatic in a few ways. These finding from the other owners is totally false.
Sharp Teeth yes but nothing else bad to say. All things ended up in a positive way.
So another owners opinion of a destructive and problamatic dog is not true in anyway. Not with having her with us for the short time. My opinion is that, I think we saved this pup from being destroyed at a young age.
