Is everything from the 30's shaped like a teardrop?

Is everything from the 30's shaped like a teardrop?

This from a 'wanted' ad on Craig's list in Spokane:

This is a trailer in Spokane. The guy is looking for something similar. You suppose he'd like a teardrop?

The 30's was a very enlightened age, wasn't it?

The 30's

Postby vinoscooter » Fri Jul 29, 2005 11:39 am

Nice trailer..Iv'e allways loved everything old..Even when I was young..Growing up in a small town in ohio...there were alot of Amish folks around...Kind uf rubed off on me..In the 30's technology was realley taking off..I remember listing to whlo radio on my crystal radio...(think thats the call letters} Wow theres a great big world out there! & I wanted to know all about it...Once they found out how to curve or round metal..they went nuts w/it...The roots of what was to follow....Take care...vinoscooter

I believe one of the major art genres of the 1930's was knows ans Streamline. Refrigerators, radios, the Chrysler Building, all are examples of the streamline idea.
I too love the technology of that era

Flash Gordon had a lot of influence, don't you think?

This trailer reminds me of the helmet worn by the Rocketeer. I think this is a 1935 Bowlus.

Mr Bowlus was a glider designer and had a lot to do with the engineering of the Spirit of St Louis. No wonder his trailer designs display an aerodynamic appearance :D
