Gun ports are good. Every teargrop should have them! ;)

Captain Ron,
A cannon I've not, but I wilst engage ye me friend in Pirates Insults to know fer sure 'tis you...

Dead men tell no tales, ye grog-snarfing swab... Scupper that!

We'll plunder yer booty, ye parrot-loving matey... Hoist the Jolly Roger!

Ahoy buccaneer, ye mutinous swine... Swab the deck!

We'll send ye to Davy Jones' locker, ye lice-infested blowfish... Arrrrgh!

We'll keel-haul ye, ye pox-faced kraken... Shiver me timbers!

(I trust ye know the rules... Arrrrgh!)

It was a concern to me about an open awning window hitting the outside wall.... my solution was to put an eyelet in the door and one in the door frame and run a piece of 1/4" nylon rope through them. Long enough to allow the door to open a bit more than 90 degrees.... nylon is good because it stretches a bit, so if the wind grabs the door, it provides some shock absorption..... used on both tears and has never let me down.... yet.
