Ran across this today...can't remember if you discussed something like this when thinking about how to work a door into a radiused roofline. This door doesn't extend to the top, but it would be easy to extend the flat side surface up to the "eave" and do that. The hard part would be the crown.



Also helpful if you have a gun and a panel van.

Doug, the footwell on my woody is the same height as my axle. I did add an angle iron on the front edge, just in case, but so far no problem, it hasn't hit anything yet.

Brad...I've got one drawn up using that type of door/eave combo now...but I don't have enough roof above it so that it looks appropriate. I'm too picky...it has to look right and in proportion to me. I wonder if this guys door is just the center rectangle or if it extends up under the eave? PS...I've got the gun, but I gave up my suburban, same year as that panel, back in '73. There are lots of trailers that were the "roots" of the canned ham look in the late 30's...it would be a whole lot easier to build. Doug
