Mike, what is the overall length & the dry weight of the Winter Warrior?

I am doing a Kamp Master as well but I decided to modify it a lil bit. I plan on having a galley style kitchen on wheels that will bring the galley to the back of the trailer when cooking.I will also have a Queen size mattress and extra head room being 5' high. the pictures in my album are old and I am now in the process of re-skinning my trailer due to hurricane IKE. I will try and post updated pictures this weekend.

AJ,

The optimized winter warrior hasn't been built yet.

I did build an Escape Hatch, a squared off version of the O.W.W.

It was 66" wide, 10' long, and weighed about 800#.

Mike...

P.S.

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Our WW is way over built and came in at 1600 lb. It is also 10' long and 63" wide and 5' high.

Ground clearance vs total height

Postby AJ Alley » Sun Feb 15, 2009 12:43 pm

I have done a full size floor plan & I would need an inside length of 12'6" to have room for storing the kayaks inside. With a simple interior I think I can control the weight but I am now concerned about ground clearance with the longer wheel base. My main reason for considering being able to haul the kayaks inside is the wind drag going down the highway, we have sea kayaks and when stacked are about the size of a canoe. Any other trailer designs that will allow for this idea.

One thing you could do, since the kayaks are so long is build an integrated tongue-box up front that is open to the main cabin. If you built it right, you might could sneak a couple of feet into the tongue box which would let you get a little shorter in your overall length. You might have to play with the angles that the kayaks go into the 'box', but maybe something to think about.

Does anyone know of a finished build journal for a Goose or Kampmaster? or one in progress. :worship: I'm working now on a scaled down version and looking at journals helps a lot! 8)

Andrew, your file is great-thanks for the pm :applause:

Here is a list of trailers with lifting roofs and it may be of some help. I think that the foamy goose is among them:
