I found this 1970 Coleman 513-700 heater today. the price was right so it came home with me. Looking at it I think it may have been fired one time. My original intent was to sell it on eBay for a small profit to help support my Coleman habit but I found a issue. The original owner engraved their name & SS# on the side of the tank. I don't fell comfortable selling it with that information so I am not sure what to do with it. It may become my garage heater.

I used to use mine in a tent back in the day. With it generating and the dual mantel lantern going the tent was quite comfortable.
I think it was the one I saw demonstrated at a sportsmen show. They laid strips of newspaper on it to show it wouldn't set them ablaze. They just turned brown and sort of turned to ash-no flames.

I dont think id use one of these in a tent, Anyplace your burning fuel your creating carbon monoxide plus burning up oxygen. Once again dad has one of these things he bought new in the day, he says he used it once, called it a stinky POS death trap and put it back in the box, Ive never seen it out of the box in 43 years.
