Hey

Jeff,

If you all don't mind a Non-tear guy and his family; I will mention it to the better half, it would give me a chance to see if the recently completed camping trailer mods have been worth while. Tenting we will go! :campfire:

Why hasn't anyone found a dead bigfoot? When was the last time you found a dead deer, bear, coyote, fox, squirrel, etc. that died in the woods.........Hmmm.

Hey guys, there is an inquiry over at Tearjerkers about camping. Is anyone planning to post there? :)

Barring any weird things we are planning this one. :applause: See you all there.

If you don't have a canoe- build one:

This canoe can be made from 2 sheets of 1/4 ply . I'd use exterior grade luan so it looks like mahogony, which luan is.Then glass and epoxy it.Probably build it for $250. Less than a plastic boat and real purdy.
free plans for this and a flat bottom skiff @
http://www.bateau.com scroll to bottom of page, click on "free boat plans"
and here's the pram:

the pram would be a sweet boat on top of a woody "camperboat"

If I finish my trailer build before summer I may build one. :ilovecamp:

I'm ready

Postby LarryB » Thu Jan 29, 2009 3:22 am

OK, I'm ready.. I think.. if I don't make the outing in Feb this will be my first one with my Teardrop. trying to figure out how to bring my canoe. maybe put a rack on my Little Guy. I haven't used it in XX years, had both knees replaced and can't kneel for long so it has been in the garage rafters gathering dust. I sent my reservation deposit in so now what ?except wait  looking forward to meeting new people

Just get a nice seat with a back on it. Water shouldn't be too rough.

Don't sweat it, Roger. It's a LONG ways off and there is plenty of campground to be had. Sure hope you can make it to this one.

When I talked to Amanda (one of the owners) today, she said they had recieved 6" of snow yesterday!! Man, I am done with Winter and am looking forward to camping in the the warm Sun!!

I might be there but I haven't broke ground on my Teardrop yet I have to break down the pop-up to get to the frame and than I'm off...

If I don't get done I might tent camp anyway.
