My find for the day..

[Texas teardrop]

Today I got 2 Coleman lanterns... (1) a 220E dated 10-55 with a reflector.
(2) A 220K dated 3-81..
(3) A Coleman propane heater...
Every thing looks like it's really in nice condition except some dirt and the glass is missing on both lanterns.. And ALL of this for the total sum of $5.00
Now to do a little cleaning and see if they'll fire up......

Well I gotta say that has to be one of the uglier cars I've ever seen, right up there with the Scion.

Yeah...but no one would take a 2nd glance at a Scion...they'd do a double take on a Crosley...I remember them as a kid...lots of Chevy's and Fords running around....why be a lemming? Doug

It is off beat....but I'll tell ya what...Lee comes up with more rabbits in his hat that you can believe! He can step in dog crap and have it turn into gold before he can scrape it off!....IE...48 Plymouth Woody, 42 Dodge window power wagon...his Packard hearse, caddy ambulance, Metropolitan, 56 T Bird...and I know he also has some additional micro cars, as well as a fleet of scooters.. I like that car. I kinda reminds me of the Hillman Husky my uncle had when I was a kid.

I drag stuff like this home to save it from rotting away in the woods and it helps pay for my adiction to scooters. And now thanks to Doug I cruise ebay for gas camping gear.

I hate to see things that can be saved just going to hell.

I'm pretty sure that Crosley engines were used by the military as stationary engines for generators. The engine was also used in the 55HP 4 cycle Outboard motors built by Homelite. I would guess in the 60's or possibly early 70's, long after the automobile was history. I don't know much about the engine, but I beleve it was stamped copper and steel and originally had about 22 gross HP.

Well I just saved this one. I sold it to a Crosley collector in Washington. He is going to restore it.
Thats why I drag this stuff home even if I don't have much room.

Now What kind of scooter can I buy?
