Heikki, Neither of those countries has the ability to help with the type of fires we are experiencing. They have offered to supply personnel to help with all the people who are now homeless etc. That offer has not been accepted by our Govt.

Paul, do you mean that aid being offered by foreign governments is being refused? I am sure that the US is standing by to offer help where needed, or that is what we are led to believe. Thanks for the fire update, it is amazing that we are able to get a first hand account of what is going on over there. Arson is a crime that should carry the death penalty, it happens here more often than we realize.
