Yep, I think NASCAR piddle-dicked around too long and should've started the race sooner. Dale Jr. is probably ducking out of interviews this week because he knows he goofed up ALOT of the other racers' day.

Yup... Knowing rain was gonna eventually going to be in the mix, NASCAR did NOTHING to expidite the start.

And Dale Jr... The guy completely missed his pits once, then when he did find it... Couldn't get in in the box, costing him a lap.
Turning Vickers in front of the entire field... Was the Bonehead Move of the Race, if not the entire season.

I'm a big DW fan but he lost me Sunday when he took Dale Jr's side about the wreck. Dale Jr blew it, plain and simple.

I'm sure one of the reasons that they didn't start the race early was because of the all mighty TV gods. And all the working folk that set their DVRs to start at 2:30.

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

Not much of a nascar fan here - but maybe it's good that the big names goofed up. They have tried to polish their image, but their agressive measures just end up costing them and other a well deserved race. However, the bonus is some who is way behind manages to win the race!

Mark,
What really bugged me about what DW had to say, was how he flip-flopped.

Yeah, I caught that too. Sounded like he was afraid to hold his ground.

 That was unusual for DW. Seems like every time they came back to him he had a different viewpoint. But in the end he said that he would take Jr's word for it. It was not vintage DW for sure.
