Do you have feature preferences, and budget range?

SORRY FOR SHORTAGE OF INFORMATION, MORE COMPLETE ANSWER

Postby BAJABOB » Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:11 pm

OK guys, sorry for not putting in more details. Hope that this is useful.

I am looking for a newer teardrop model, (home built is ok) for off road camping. Must sleep two people in comfort. Simple with lack of options is fine. Palm Springs/San Diego area. $5,000 budget.

Talk to So-Cal teardrops. Perhaps they know of some used tears and maybe they'll deal even more than they recently posted they would. These are some of the nicest manufactured tears.

Good luck!

So-Cal Teardrops is celebrating the New Years by slashing prices on all of our trailers. Our new shop, extra buying power and improved machinery have allowed us to cut enormous costs in building our trailers. Being the nice guys we are, we have decided to pass these savings (plus some) directly to the customer.

2008 prices
4x9 - $10,995
5x9 - $12,995
5x11 - $14,995

2009 New Years prices
4x9 - $6,995 ($4000 Savings)
5x9 - $7,995 ($5000 Savings)
5x11 - $8,995 ($6000 Savings)

We are also working on a new model in conjunction with another prominent trailer manufacturer. Keep your eye on our website for details in the future.

A few lucky builders have taken advantage of our new shop and have encouraged us to offer custom CNC cut profiles for any design. If you can draw it (even if you can't) we can cut it. Call for more details. (909) 982-1199.

Thanks,

FINE TUNING - THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR ADVICE

Postby BAJABOB » Thu Feb 12, 2009 7:42 am

Thanks to all who responded. I have followed up on all your advice and have not found the one that I am looking for. I have determined that I would like a 5x9 minimum size, commercially made trailer. I am impressed with the Camp-Inn and the SoCal trailers. I do not need a lot of add-ons such as tvs, air conditioners, water tanks, sinks, etc. Looking for a basic comfortable sleeper for two. As to budget, well for the right trailer I would be able to go as high as $8,000.

Just call SO-CAL tell them you want their $8995 trailer (the big one 5x11) Ask them to remove all the stuff you don't want and BINGO your at your $8000 price point. they might even throw in some mud grip tires instead of the normal ones to make it more "off road".

Geez this is a no brain-er.....

If I'm lucky So-Cal will send me all the parts you don't want, I'll be glad to take those nasty luxuries off your hands ;)

Bob,

I have a customer who has a 550 Camp-Inn for sale used up in Wrightwood. He is a bit north of you. He is asking a little more than what you are talking about but is a steal of a price. He is selling it so he can upgrade to one with more options like air conditioning and a furnace.

PM me if you are at all interested and I can get you his contact info.
