Meaure once cut Twice.......

Postby JamesW » Sat Aug 07, 2004 11:29 pm

Just kidding! I have the side profiles cut out and sanded. Tomorrow I will be cutting out the doors. I am a little nervous about this... Is it better to use a Skill saw with a plunge cut then switch to a Jigsaw or should I try to borrow a plunge router :? Anyway, if I am successful with the doors I should be able to get the sides mounted and supported.

James,
Go with the router. You'll get a much better result.

I used a circular saw on the doors, and a jig saw on the rounded corners. It works, but a router with a template would work far better. Go to Steve Fredricks page for cutting with a router...

I do remember the brick mansion. It has been a few years since I have been "home". I will let you know when I plan on going back. maybe we could meet face to face. You may have your trailer done by then...
