IraRat,

You cannot get away with trashing our Brooklyn air. Remember I know where you grew up. Ours was beautiful ocean air.

It was beautiful from 1956, when I was born, until like 1965 or 1966.

Then that bay of ours smelled like a sewer and was pure sludge when they started building Starett City and when all environmental concerns went out the window.

I remember as a young kid waking up to that great salty, fog air. (Guy and I lived a few blocks from Jamaica Bay, in Brooklyn, near Sheepshead Bay.) But that nice, fresh smell didn't last all that long.

After that, it was just Brooklyn...in the polluted 1960s.
