No I didn't. I wasn't planning on going this year. We went the past two years, and they never have anything small.

Nice start! :applause:

You might not like the trailer jack, but they are so important when leveling, hooking up and unhooking your trailer!

You might see how far you can get it towards the coupler. Especially if you are planning a tongue box.

Thanks Dave and Cliff for the kind words,

The toung jack has got me looking at other options, this one is cheep at best. There is a spot on the "A frame" for a vertical fixed jack but Im concerned it will interfear with my hatch back on the Vibe, any thoughts? :NC

Putting these in reduced the bow in the wall almost 100%

Everything put together with pocket screws and liquid nails, this thing is tight! :hammer:

Welcome Neighbor

Postby Carter » Mon Mar 09, 2009 4:19 am

Welcome to the forum Tony

I'm a little slow but your "thinwall" looks to be 11 gauge, very standard, and suitable, for this size trailer.

Seeing these pics makes me want to get started again.

2.5

Postby Carter » Mon Mar 09, 2009 6:04 pm

It's 2+1/2 because I built a standy, started a teardrop last year and decided the wife wouldn't like downsizing to the teardrop. Sold that frame. I've built 1 and 1/2, so I may start on 2 1/2. Playing in CAD with another Standy that will capture all the " I should have done this........" things. The dinette in the current trailer looks cool but we have never used it, always eat outdoors. Get rid of it. I have a water tank, 6 gal. heaer, and plenty of plumbing in my current standy. Buy a Coleman Portable On-demand water heater and do away with all the pipes. (untested, may not be what they claim) The pipes will freeze and break if not drained properly, I know. I got real carried away with the last one. 2.5 would be easy to build and more user friendly. Just have to have the determination to fire up the MIG.
