Drip rail

Where does drip rail usually get installed? Along the entire top edge, just over doors/windows, or is it more of a personal preference decision?

If your talking about the "J" shaped drip rail, I install it in front of the hinge, over the door & just under the door sweeping partially up over the fender. I helps keep driven rain water from being forced through the bottom door seal. :D Danny
