It is a Rehabbed door. I didn't do the rehab, a buddy of mine did it a few years ago when he did his Scotty.

He never used it...and I ended up with it.

After a good day yesterday I walked into the shop this morning...tripped over an airline, realized I had forgotten to bring a pencil, then I pinched my finger in the Brake (not bad)

And I said Leonard, this is a sign.

So today is a clean up the shop day.

But yesterday I finished the siding, Exterior Painting, put the Rubber Roof on and did the corner moldings.

I can only hope mine will turn out 1/2 as good as yours is looking....

Thanks for the nice comments Patty & Steve

I'm under the gun to get this outside. I've got 2 other jobs I have to get in and started. I figure even if it still gets cold outside I can use a little heater inside for the painting.

I just have a little bit of interior window trim to do and a good vacuuming out and its ready for inside paint.

Len,
What do you use as a parting strip between your epdm roof and aluminum siding, and what type of moulding do you use for your side edge moulding?

Mark,

I use this as the termination bar;

And this for the corners;

Both can be gotten at http://www.all-rite.com/index.php?cPath=54

BUT! If you can get it at a local RV dealership you will save a lot of money for shipping. It should go for about $20 a 16' length.

Its very easy to work with.

Thanks for posting that link, Len. There's a lot of potentially useful stuff I can see myself picking up from them.

Thanks Len.
I have a few Rv suppliers I can deal with locally but I find their prices to be more in most cases than anything I find online so thanks for the link.
Now get back to work!

Well the thing to remember is that long lengths have fewer joints...joints= leaks. A lotta guys will only ship 8' lengths. And shipping costs can eat you up.

Look at all your options.

It has seen the light of day.

Pulled the Scotty out of the garage last night. No problem with the door height.

Its a good thing I didn't put the roof vent on, It would have never fit through the door. You couldn't get a piece of paper between the roof & the top of the door.

It'll sit here and get the interior painting, some wiring, cabinet doors and this & that.

Windows are coming soon.

How do ya like that fancy door latch?

Its slow goin' with all the little details.

Got the windows in and all the exterior lights.

I decided to change the door.

3 reasons

1. The old door takes a $100 lock (an old Bargman L-66 lock)

2. By using the original door frame I would get a screen door.

3. I really wanted a white door.

Sooo, for $50 I built a new door with the lock.

A few odds & ends tomorrow.

Then next week...PAINTING

God I hate painting.
