Not quite as much 'open road' as rob48 but this was on US 287 near Sweetwater. WY in Jun 2007. I too change wallpaper every so often but this'un always gets put up this time of year when I'm gettin' anxious to 'hit the road' ;)

Harvey:

That is a really nice picture of your wife and the wildflowers. It makes me wish it was spring already.

Hi,

Just as diverse as the builders of teardrops are their backgrounds. Mine changes often. Currently Rocky our black whippet is featured sleeping on his baby blue blanket on artifical turf laid beside our TD at Big Trees State Park just up the road from our home along Ca Route four.

Nice pictures, I change my desktop background pretty often. I have a folder of background pictures. These two are a couple of favorites.

I took both pictures, the first is my Eddy & Duff Columbia Tender with the PS Water Color filter.

The second one I still can't believe I took. Looks like a story book picture.

This is a pic of a State park in Iowa, just south of Des Moines. We took it on a warm day after a heavey ice storm.

I'm kind of a steam-era railroad nut (massive understatement, there ... ...), so I just love OSH calendars! Since I live in Northern California, the Southern Pacific Daylight/Shasta Daylight passenger trains were/are iconic, so you can imagine my pleasure when last year's calendar included this as one of their monthly features:
Image
(yeah ... that is Mount Shasta there in the background, as seen from the north side!)

Every so often, I'll trade that one with this one, also Northern California, at the annual Balloon Fest in Montague, CA, about 30 miles north of Mt. Shasta:
Image
(Yeah, my copyrighted photo ... I must have burned at least 3 rolls of film at this one spot that day ... Father's Day 2002 [I think])

This is a great thread, BTW! Love seeing what other folks find interesting enough enough to keep laying 'round on their desktop ... ...!
Thanks for starting it!
