Jeff and Donna, We hope you make it to Beavers Bend. We will keep you in our prayers. Charles and I look forward to meeting you two.

We have had a couple of changes in attendance.
Todah Tear, s4son and Razorback will not be able to make it this year.
Sparksalot and Caseydog will be filling two of the sites and probably edevans.

We hope to squeeze edevans into a site. Maybe some of the early arrivals can claim a pull through or ask the park Host and Hostess, Nolan and Betty, (for 3 years straight) to put our names on the pull throughs if they are empty Thursday evening.

Charles and I plan to head out Thursday evening. Not sure if we will stop on the way or just drive straight. If we drive straight in we will arrive by midnight.

Hope we don't have any more cancelations but we know things come up.

Sorry to hear about the cancer spreading. MD Anderson is a good treatment center. Donna should be in good hands.

Since I will be camping in a van, with no trailer, I could share with someone who needs a campsite for their TD. We could put their TD and my van in a campsite, and put their tow vehicle in the parking lot by the bathrooms -- if we can't put two vehicles in a campsite.

Todah, 4son, Razorback -- PM me if you want to sell me your spot. I'll send you a check for anything you already paid, and take care of the remainder onsite.

Linda, Thank you for your help. It is so nice of you to spend your time and energy to make this event possible. Thanks to all of you that offered to share a space. We would be happy to share with any of you guys. We are looking forward to seeing our camping family and making some new friends. I am sorry that some of you had to cancel, but that just gives us next year to look forward to. Jeff and Donna you are in our prayers and hope to meet you at Beavers Bend. Ruby & Ed

We got the call today, we have to be in Houston Tuesday morning. We will be taking the big RV and setting up in a nearby park. Donna will have to stay for at least 2 weeks for evaluation. If there is any treatment for her, she may have to stay as long as 10 weeks. We won't know until the week of BB if we'll be there, so it is still up in the air. Will keep you posted as we know something.
Thank you all for the prayers.

First round down, saw the Dr today. Scheduled scans for Thur. and we seen him again next Tue. Hopefully we'll know something a little further then. If there is no approved drug, they have clinical trials that test new drugs and she may be able to get into one.
BUT!!! OMG!!! I had forgotten what a big city was like. We are set up about 40 miles from the hospital and we have spent 3 1/2 hours in traffic today  If I ever get outta here.......
But if she is able to get into a clinical trial, we will be making a trip once a week down here for tests :? Hmmm...... my gray hair might just all get pulled out.

Jeff there are some bigger hospitals that will let you stay in your RV or perhaps a near by church........... I can't imagine that much traffic. Would have me getting up really early and leaving late....... :?

Auntie M, you haven't been to Houston huh?

Traffic is horrible all the time.
We left for a 2 hour drive to Dr. in downtown Houston and was making great time (was gonna be early) and the last 7 miles took us 45 minutes. We now leave about 3 hours before the appt. and can hope to be early but haven't been very early.

Jeff and Donna,
Wish I could give u suggestions on parking your trailer closer or going around the traffic but I can't. We hope they can come up with a miracle for you Donna. Best of luck to you.

Jeff and Donna sorry to here about the medical problems with Donna and the Houston traffic. My sister lives in Pearland, Tx so I know about the traffic thru Houston area. If you miss your turn-off it is 40 miles back to it from the nearest exit past the one you missed.
My sister was going to take to a short cut home out of the Houston area. It was on the CIRCLE BYPASS ( I-610 loop ).
 :? :(    :? :worship:

WOW what a ride three hours to go 4 miles and all I had to do is go back the way I came down across the toll bridge and pay 75 cents and save a two-and a half hours waiting in heavy traffic.

I pray for the best for you and Donna. :worship:
