Panel first making note of the placement of wall framing, then add the beds. You may want to add a bead of construction adhesive to the studs before attacing the paneling. it'll help secure everthing together. I closed up the walls without running wires because I wanted to use PVC snap together conduit. That way I can have acess to the wiring at all times. But that is a personal choice.

I hoped to work on the interior this weekend, but it's supposed to be 30 and snowing. I can't believe I let my wife talk me into a house with a single car garage.

Gather all the tools ya think you will need throw in the extention cord and a small heater and there ya go . Now you are working inside

I was installing my electrical in August of 07. Hotter than hell. Old what's her name comes out with a cold one and peeks in and starts to laugh. I am setting in a camp chair with a 20" boxfan pointed in my face sweating like a pig. Why she thought that was so damn funny I don't know but she did. If we waited for 72 and sunny we would never get done. Come to think of it its been 2 years and I am not done probably never will be.

Since I've started my teardrop, the mess has convinced my wife to look for a house with a 3-car garage (or shop :worship: ) instead of our tiny 2-car garage.

:applause:   I love this thing. Love the estrogen comments. Poor Mike, is living with a house full and is much better at agreeing to camp with me----alone.

Keep up the good work.

Sorry TonyG. We had some people laid off at work, the rest got put on 32 hours, so I put the build on hold till I know for sure I'm going to have a job. :worship: I'm thinking I need to get it done in case I have to live in it. Unfortunately, I've been paying my bills, so there is no bailout for me.
Anyway, If that disappointed face doesn't motivate me nothing will.

Finally had some decent weather and a day off. Didn't get anything worth taking pictures of. I got the roof screwed on all the way, finished both wheel covers. Next weekend is supposed to be nice and I'll have some money, hopefully I'll get the wiring done, insulation and three walls and ceiling paneled. Then I can start on the beds and back wall.

Finally got some money and decent weather in the same weekend. I don't have any pictures, but I got insulation in. Also got the ceiling and 1 1/2 walls paneled. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the back wall up, all the panel done and both doors put in. I haven't ordered the latches yet, but may be campable by Memorial Day.

Still no pictures, but I got everything I planned on done, but the doors. I was watching an eBay ad for 2 matching flush mount latches. Got distracted and missed it by 10 seconds, I clicked bid and it said the items sold for $32. So I went to work on the camper. Just checked and the seller re-listed the items with a buy it now price. I think he was bidding on his own item, but it's still cheaper than I've found elsewhere, so hopefully the latches will get delivered this week and next week I can finish the doors. I planned on starting the beds, but my wife tightened up on the money. I have to get some of her projects done before I spend money on beds and finishing up the interior. I will paint it temporarily until I can get some aluminum from work, and in the meantime, we will just put the cushions from the donated pop up I started with on the floor and be comfortable for the summer camping season. I will post pictures soon. This camper is just for sleeping in, and compared to the workmanship I've seen on this site, mine is not low end, but I'm happy with my first build. I'm hoping the economy gets better and I will start a true weekender this winter. It will be my deer and elk camp trailer.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice and opinions helping me on this first build.

I'll get some pictures up this weekend. I got my latches in today, so hopefully I can finish the doors Saturday, then all I have to do is put the lights on and get it registered. Youngest daughter and I will test it this weekend in the driveway, then next weekend will be the maiden voyage. It won't be complete, but will be secure enough to camp in.
