The list just keeps growing. between Raccoon and Chain O'Lakes I want to put in the front cargo box to hold the A/C and the Sun Roof 8)
Then next winter I'll tackle the hatch redo.

It never ends!!! Today I installed the "Redneck Antenna" and the digital converter box in the teardrop. It works on the cabin TV and on the Galley TV. (I have too many TV's)

Now I can have entertainment any time of the night or day.
I really like to watch the morning news and weather when I'm making and eating breakfast.
I'd hate to go away for a week and find out that something crazy has happened.

Or maybe find out that you should just stay in the woods.

 What was that movie were the Russians invaded the US and the kids ran to the hills?

66 DAYS TO GO
mine is goig thru a transformation too.

I will drag old ugly to racoon but the chain o lakes will see a different exterior finish. The woodie look is becoming quite weathered. Of course he sits outside 24 - 7 and after 2 years he need some lovin. So we have some plans when the weather warms up.

Was out in the camper tonight jammin to stephenwolf and Doctor Hook and the neighbor showed up looking to beg some plumbing fitting ( which I had ) and as I crawled out of the tear he just shook his head.

My neighbors know I am nuts.

Did I mention my air horn on my toy Suzuki

You're a pretty good movie picker, throw some ideas out there for us. Any thing in mind.

I think I'm gonna build a easy tear down PVC frame for the screen like I posted in the picture that one time and string a tarp on it. I've got the plan in my head.

"The great outdoors" and "without a paddle" get my vote

Installed the antenna ????

Is it mounted permanently or on a pole outside or how ???

Inguiring minds need to know!

I built 2 more antennas the other day and I used that plasti - dip air dry vinyl coating on the tips of the elements to make it a little safer and more user friendly when packing and un packing. Thinking of mounting it on a pvc pole and inserting it into a larger pvc socket mounted on the tongue.

The antenna is mounted on the outside (over the fender) on a 4' x 3/4" PVC pole.. I already had a cable connection near the roof line so I mounted the pole so that it is close to the connection.
I made a "pivot" and attached it to the top of the fender and then secured the pole to the flag staff with a mount near the roof line.
Also, I attached a light cord to the antenna pole near the fender, so I can rotate it from the cabin (need to open the door and pull on the rope cord to swivel the antenna).

Inside, the converter fit in the rear cabinet and I plugged it in to the inside outlet. Since I already had cable and splitters in the cabinet for the "old" antenna and TV's, it was a simple hook up. :D

I've never tried the antenna outside of the garage so I assume the reception will be at least as good while camping.

Neat reflectors look like some kinda speaker grills what were they?

I just found out that with a little soap or cooking oil 1/2 " EMT will slide snuggly into 3/4 pvc should you find the pvc a little wiggly this trick will stiffen up your pole

I am using 5' of EMT slid into 5' of 3/4 PVC and this will telescope out to about 9' I will use small worm clamp to keep it extended .I think I will simply attach the pole to my pull out privacy curtain frame with a small bungy cord.

You really need to repost your pics in the "Antenna post"
I am still scratching my head about your remote aiming device

You were kind enough to get me a copy of the long long trailer.

Yes I would love to have a copy of rv crazy but my thought was as a warm up movie at The Racoon Gathering.

While I've been busy with tax returns you guys have been chatin up a storm. As far as a movie goes I vote for The Great Outdoors. It's funny and the raccoon attack is appropriate for the area. I have a good purchased copy if we need it.

Kurt you have way too much time on your hands. First I was amazed at the historical notes. Then you come up with your redneck antenna. Whats next? Perhaps an hydraulically operated galley hatch with remote control. I can see your hatch opening to the sound of the music and kettle drums in the beginning of 2001 Space Odessy with an orange glow and smoke coming from the inside.

35 days of tax season remaining. :?

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
