My Scotty re-build

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Postby len19070 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 3:55 pm

I just got done the most difficult part on this trailer for me...

The Painting!!

I hate painting. I'd rather separate worms from Alligator crap with boxing gloves on than PAINT!

The new door from last week.

I had to re-screen and move the slide door up to accommodate the new lock.

The inside.

Sorry for all the clutter, but I have to take photos when the camera man is there.

Happy Trails

You might not like painting, but you've done a cracking job! :applause:

Really like the colour scheme in there... nice and fresh!

Thanks Dewi. I have some darker green knobs to finish off the "triple aqua/green" color scheme.

Maybe if you paint it in a "Natural Lite" scheme, you will like painting better :D

Real nice Len

That's exactly the "look" I was going for.

Thanks for noticing Dave.

Hmm, is that sea foam green? Or surf green? Either way, that's a 50's/60's color for sure.

Nice colors, and really nice retro look. I had a 62 bug that was nearly that color. I love that color. I was thinking white with my trailer --that would be a nice accent color for a white tear. and the rims completely satisfied my sa-weet tooth. 8)

Not much visible work done, a lot of little things. Compartment locks. trailer plug w/charge line, some 110v wiring, drip caps over doors/windows and such.

I still have some more interior painting, semi-gloss the doors.

God I hate painting.

Got my exterior decals ordered. A whole lot of little details left

But!

It has seen the road.

Before, as purchased.

Rick

This is a dangerous time for me on a build. I've been into it for about 3-4 months, details are bogging the project down and My Adult ADD is kickin in.

I'm taking a few weeks off, catching up on some other work, might go fishing..I don't know, there's a patch of grass in my yard that I just seeded that needs watching, then hit the Scotty Fresh in a few weeks.

Thanks for the kind words.

Once again Len, A great job...

I really like the door ( I've been "into" doors lately) nice job on the windows, when this came out did it have the bigger windows like you put in or did it have the smaller jalousies at the top only?
