Has anyone heard of "Raintight"?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Has anyone heard of "Raintight"?

Postby Von Pook » Sun Mar 15, 2009 8:18 pm

I saw at a surplus store, a water proofer called "Raintight". It claims to be water cleanup, while being a water proofer and UV protector. I am wondering if anyone knows about this stuff, because I found several gallons of it at a discounted price. I would rather know what it is before buying it, and since it was a surplus store, I knew more than the salesman. Thank you for your time

Well I guess no one has heard of it. I tried to web search it, but to no avail. Lots of people have read this, but no replies as of yet.

Nope, spelled wrong, and the label clearly states for use on wood. Thank you for looking though

I spent a few minutes trying to Google this and nothing is coming up. If you have a cell phone, maybe next time you're at the surplus you can take a picture of it.

You upload it to your album and then click the "IMG" button at the top, twice. Copy the location of the picture and paste it between the IMG tags.

You did it! You're welcome. I'll scout around and see what I can come up with about that stuff.

Here's a link I finally came up with.
At least we know you're not the only person in the world who has heard of it.

Again, not much help but this site is listing it for about 50 bucks a gallon.

The surplus store has about 5 gallons of the stuff, for $20 a gallon. I was hoping that someone has had some experience with it as it seemed like it might make a good teardrop exterior cover. Thank you all for looking.

Apparently it can't be used on walls when they are verticle as it says for use on level surfaces. Jim :(
