STRICTLY POLITICS

Postby mikeschn » Wed Aug 24, 2005 3:06 pm

Sorry Guys,

No politics or religion is permitted in the forum. Politics and religion can destroy a forum faster than almost anything I know.

Please try to understand, and keep the posts within the confines of teardrop and related stuff, and off topic, please try to avoid sensitive topics.

Thank you,

Mike...

I still say the Gorilla Glue versus Titebond debate is a lot more damaging than talking politics.

This is Mike's forum and he gets to make the rules. If he says no religion and politics, then, we've got to do our best to honor his request.

Besides, everyone knows God and George Bush want us use Titebond III

Boy, I've heard that statement before. But I think it had something to do with 'Traditional Teardrops'. :o
When I built my tear, I think I used Titebond II, couldn't find III (I don't think it was out yet) and the nearest Zoo was 75 miles away.

Have a good day.

I remember those days Gage...

Unlike those days, I am trying to keep an open and flexible forum. I am trying to keep the forum from self destructing though, and to do that there needs to be basic rules. I thought "no fighting" would cover it, but I see religion and politics as a precursor to fighting. Besides, we'd lose a lot of valuable input on teardrops if we started discussing those subjects.

Mike...

Thanks Mike for all you do, and put up with. I wouldn't be building a teardrop if it wasn't for this forum. In a short time I feel I have found a common bond with many on the board, and hopfully it will endure beyond current politics. These are tough times around the World and anything that can bring people together to share goodwill can only be a positive thing. I can't wait to be out there with our teardrop, sitting around the campfire enjoying nature and all it has to offer with my new friends and associates.

Sincerely,
Steve in St Augustine

Geez Mike

Postby Guy » Thu Aug 25, 2005 8:36 pm

Geez Mike you did not have to use my name. But I do like your choice of Blood Red for font colour.

So the score seems to be 0-2 for Ira. First Religion now politics; if he does a thread on man/boy love :lips: does his tear get put in the Hall of Fame? Wow, since he has a traditional tear we can export him to the other board. I am sure Gage would wangle him an invite. :D

Guy, You must have some clones running around out there. Mike referred you in the plural.

Take it easy on Ira. His intentions were good. He initiated this thread after I made a political comment that got some folks riled up. This thread was an attempt to accomodate everyone. Mike, however, maintains a different policy. If you must blame someone, blame me.

Can we talk about the reason's we can't talk about politics?

Just kidding, Mike. I accepted your deletion of the posts here and your comments about why with the sincerity and good intention you intended. I just don't agree with it, because I still see many references to religion here, as well as our current foreign policy.

And thanks for defending me, Tom, but Guy is from Brooklyn like me and I didn't understand his 0-2 reference ANYWAY.

But the Man-Boy love thing? Now THAT'S the sort of thing that should be censored!

[quote="Guy"]Blame Canada. quote] :rofl2: That song is one of the funniest I've ever heard. Being the first American in my family's history, the 5 previous generations (and most of the current) are Canadian, I love this song and use it on relatives all the time. :applause:

Dear Bobgorilla,
Glad somebody got it. I was beginning to think folk took me serious. At least somebody knew it was a song. 8)

And my kids are Canadians.
