NO SNOW down there in the far SE corner at beavers bend... it's the opposite side of the state that's gonna get pounded...

If we made the annual campout at BB a little later, you could shoot giant ''easter eggs'' from the catapult.....

Unfortunately Cindi and I will not make it this weekend. I have too many things to do to Little Switzerland and not enough time to do it. I've rushed this past week and the more I rush the more mistakes I make. Last night about midnight I just gave up. My hatch isn't finished and I'm not wanting to be in wet weather without it. We swore off tent camping in the cold after Ray Roberts so we will just stay home.

Linda, if someone takes our spot, just take our money and use it for next year's deposit. If our spot goes unused then we will mail you money for next year sometime next week.

We will miss seeing everyone and especially the "Flight of the Water Balloons".

Have a great time.

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

:( Im new to this site. Im sorry that Donna and you are going thru all that. I had an aggressive form of breast cancer a few years ago with a survival rate of about 15%. I am still clear 3 years out. There is hope. I will pray for yall. I feel really good now with just a few glitchs from the chemo. God be with you. :)

My wife looked at me funny when I added water balloons to the shopping list.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

A low of 28 (Reel Feel 14) on Saturday night. :o

Who's bringing the firewood?

I guess I need to go get a bottle of anti-freeze at the liquor store.

I've got a little more'n half as much as I usually bring (rest of mine wuz outside during the rains this week & is soaked :( ). Probably got enough for a pretty good fire for at least one nite (if the party don't go all nite & we don't try for a bonfire ;) ). I'll keep an eye out for some good campfire wood on the way over.

I'll see what kind of wood I can grab along the way. I have a little bit in the garage, but not much. We're going to need some good fires on Saturday night.

I'm packed, and hitting the road in the morning -- whenever I get up.

See you there!

Sorry Guys

Postby Cindy » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:56 pm

Sorry Guys but the Bluebonnet, Dave, Tyler and I are going to stay home. The Bluebonnet isn't ready but the cold is really the problem. I just can't take it. You guys have a good time and stay warm. See you at Purtis Creek and all the other places coming up. Anybody who wants our site can have it with our blessings.

Well, it looks like camping space is not going to be an issue. I'm betting we'll have several more folks not show. Oh, well.

I just got my nav programed, which is a chore every year. I keep forgetting that when I go from Texas to Oklahoma, I'm going 100 miles North, and a couple of decades back in time. ;)

A couple of T'storms woke me up around 3AM but there's only a light mist now. Possibly a few more showers later this mornin' but Lenora & I'll be on the road in an hour or so. Should be at BB before noon

Lenny and I will be there Saturday AM. Teardropping in the forecasted "heavy rain, strong thunderstorms, and possible hail" is an adventure I'm not up for. We can deal with cold. Famous last words....

Joanne

I hate to say it but we're out. We missed last year and were really looking forward to being there this year, but we just don't do well in the cold. I know those that make it will have a blast despite the weather, eat some banana pudding for me.
