To Jeff and Donna
Macy and I are still thinking of you guys. Miracles are still possible.
Macy and I are in Nashville at this time. Have driven about 1900 miles this past week all over North Carolina. Five nights in the TD and two nights in
the comfort of inns.
Hope all who make BB have a great time and that the weather changes for the better.

Talked to Linda

Postby Cindy » Fri Mar 27, 2009 7:56 pm

You can always call Linda at the number she gave earlier. I talked to her about 1pm and she said it was fine but looking really black in the West. She said that they were just going to tough it out.

Didn't get around to taking lots of pix except for a short walk yesterday during a lull in the intermittent snow, sleet, & rain. Think I got pix of everyone's camp & a few of the potluck - Here's a few with more in my Photobucket album at the link -

Home again , home again... jiggity jog.

Took the long winding road home, it was still a long drive but somewhat better to go the back roads, kind of scenic too
I'm worn out mostly from unpacking , laundry and emptying the ice chest . Those Polar Packs of Trudy's are wonnnnderful.

I'm gonna crash I think... and pizza sounds good.

We got home around 2:00. Got unpacked, clothes washing, empty ice chest.
Time to get ready for another work week.

We had a good time as usual. Yes it was cold on Saturday but Thursday and Friday were decent. Of course when we got up this morning the sun was out and not a cloud in the sky. It didn't feel like it got down in the twenties like the park host told us it was supposed to do.
Pot luck was good as always too. It was so cold the food got cold by the time we could eat.

As most of you that were there we are booking the same weekend next year for now but hope to be able to change reservations to the second weekend in April 2010.
We stopped by the office to make the reservations but the girls wanted me to deal with a particular person so I'll call at 8 sharp in the morning. They do not let people reserve the entire campground but are making an exception for us.
We also have permission to double up on the pull throughs and some of the other sites as they are pouring new pads and making them longer.
So......if all goes well we should have room for 35 to 40 teardrops in 2010 so lets fill it up.

It was good seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks.

We definately missed those that did not make it.
s4son, rickxr2, planovet, spinnernut, Todah Tear, davel, sonetpro, razorback, mechmagcn,

Hope to see you all before next year.

Well we're home no problem and no snow till we got about 30 miles south of Kansas City then by the time we got to Kansas City no snow again. When we got home there is a little left on the front porch that faces north with no sun but other than that nothing. Beautiful sun and dry roads all the way.

Had a great time and looking forward to going again.

Mark and Em made it home safe too but beat us by an hour cause they live on the south side. But they still have a yard full of snow.

We got home around 5:00 pm and Jon said to tell everyone he made it home this year with no problems. (Last year, it took us 3 days to finally get his car home, thanks to the "roadside service" we had. We ended up going back and towing it home ourselves).

The pictures are great, thanks for sharing them Harvey. Glenn, thanks for the group picture, it was very good also considering some of us you had to take pictures of. Just kidding.

We sure missed the ones who didn't come, but we had a great group that did brave the weather. The food was wonderful as usual and it was so good to see everyone we knew and meet new ones. What a great bunch of people.

Danny, I sure missed you not being there to keep me dry. I mean water was everywhere. (of course it wasn't water balloons). I think Glenn needs you there to egg him on because he wouldn't do the balloon thing with out you. I think that means you must be the instigator. Now Morgan was ready but I think they decided it was too wet already to be fun.

Well, another BB is behind us and plans for next year already under way.
The Redbuds and Dogwood trees were in full bloom, simply beautiful,
especially today with the sun out. I hope we will see a lot of you at Minden this year, if not before.

Grani, Papa Gene and Jon.

Oh, another thing, we came home to a lot of snow on the ground. It had been melting all day in 60 degree weather, and was still piled up. Gene had to shovel out a path so we could unload and get in the house with out wading in snow. Sorry for the book, you know Grani, talks a lot. :D
