Glad to see all had a good time, even if the weather wasn't too good. Maybe next year we'll make it too.

Looks like everyone had a blast...

Next year y'all can count us in. We are starting the build, Just downloaded Kuffel Plans and will adapt our current ideas. Hope to be ordering axle this Friday once I verify and get some input this week.

Pictures at Beavers Bend

Postby queeniejeanne » Mon Mar 30, 2009 8:00 am

Got home last night at 8PM, after several stops on the way. By the time we got home we had to go straight to bed. Getting old and I was cold to the bones. Had a fantastic time, everyone was so nice and friendly. We'll be back. Well we mean to the next gathering if you'll have us. djayh is Dennis if you see him lurking on the forum, yell at him to talk.

Well we are home and the snow is almost all gone. We stayed at Copper Breaks State Park last night and it is a nice little park. Had a deer in our camp ground this morning. We had a great time at Beavers Bend. We missed the ones that did not get to make it, but we understand about the weather. And there is always next year. This is such a great group of people. We are thankful to be able to call you our friends. And Kudos to Linda & Charles for all their work putting this together and to Trudy, Gary and friends for a great breakfast and to everyone for just being there and being so much fun to hang out with, can hardly wait until next time. Cool pictures. BTW, your link needed a bit of tweaking.

I made it home Saturday night at 9:00 Spent the week just hanging out in Durant mostly just working on the list of things that fathers/grampas get to do. Wednesday I checked out Blue River near Tishomingo. This is a very rugged area with all primitive camping. I plan on camping it sometime.
Started home Friday afternoon and got as far as Lake Spavinaw.(No sense rushing back  ) This is a nice little park. Talked to some locals. Had a great steak and a very peaceful night. Woke up Sat to the warmest morning temps of the entire trip but windy. If it had not been so windy I would have stayed longer but this was for the best. I needed to push the remaining ten hour drive to get home ahead of the snow. Light snow all day today! :( :x
I enjoyed myself at Beaver's Bend despite the rain and chill. Hope to see everyone again next year
