I voted for Michelob, but I mostly drink their Amber Bok. It's a full-flavored dark beer. Dark beers, by the way, have some of the same heart-healthy benefits of drinking wine. So, my beer drinking is strictly for health reasons. (Yeah, RIGHT)

Second choice is regular Bud.

In Tempe AZ is the 4 peaks brewing company. One of the drinks they serve is an Oatmeal Stout milkshake. Sounds like something Homer Simpson would make, but its yummy. Also, a double shot of espresso in a pint o Guinness makes for a tasty treat too

Had to put in for Pilsner Urquell. I love a lager, and this is the golden beer.

The most memorable and perhaps most tasty beer that had ever crossed my terribly unrefined palet was when stationed in Freidburg Germany in the early 70's. Of many of the local breweries it was said at the time "this is the best bier I ever had". But for American bilgewater I voted for Rolling Rock. I do enjoy a few Modelo's from Mexico occasionally, frosted mug with lime on the rim. With a little help I could learn to like a great many other fine beers.

With of all the good mexican beers out there, why is the worst one even on this poll? :o Also amazing to me is only 1 vote for yuengling, the oldest American brewery. After years of careful and very scientific study under the worst possible conditions, with literally thousands of taste tests, I can safely say that my favorite beer is dependent on numerous factors that vary moment by moment. I can easily name my least favorites: Corral (from Portugal, has formaldehyde as a preservative, nasty!), Corona, and just recently A-B products (last 4 years they give me a headache, maybe an overdose?)

Hey Bobgorilla,

As a resident of Michigan, I don't know anything about the beers south of the border. So I just threw out a name...

So tell me, what are the top 3 beers in Mexico?

IMHO Tres(spell?) Equis (only available in Mexico 3 Xs better even than Dos Equis), Negro Modelo (a dark beer), and Carta Blanca. Also better than Corona IMHO are Tecate (the only beer that should get a lime!) and Superior. Locally Dos Equis Amber is my favorite of the ones available!
P.S. Superior and 3Xs are the only ones I've had trouble finding in U.S.
P.P.S. I'll bet Kai has a knowledgable opinion of Mexican beers, there are probably lots I don't know about, I've only been there maybe a dozen times.

Just curious, As a Michanger, why not mention more Canadian Beers? Such as Moosehead or Molson? You may have noticed I've spent some time (and enormous amounts of money) studying this particular subject  and while I don't consider myself an expert, I do have years of field work.

I’m from North Mexico and I think Sol is better than Corona, but Corona takes the lid among the Mexican exported beers.

Sol, Tecate, Tecate Light, Carta Blanca, Superior, Dos Equis Lager, Dos Equis Ambar, Indio, Bohemia and Noche Buena.

These beers are made by FEMSA this Company is in my hometown Monterrey and it is the largest beverage company of Mexico and Latin America counting Beer and Coca Cola.

Grupo Modelo makes: Corona, Corona Light, Modelo Especial, Modelo Light, victoria Negra Modelo, Pacifica, Estrella, Leon and Montejo

Grupo Modelo is the leading in brewing and sale of beers being Corona extra the top selling Mexican Beer in Mexico and in the world and the fourth beer most sold in the world.

Raul

BTW Kai just drink Coca Cola light

I took the photo in a little beach front restaurant in Punta Bete, an out-of-the way village a few miles north of Playa del Carmen.
