This is a 502. On the bottom it's marked (12 502 64) so I'm assuming it's a 1964 model. I believe that's when it was bought. We took a trip West to Boise to visit relatives and I believe my Dad bought it for me on that trip. I so It'd be 45 years old. Still had the old gas in it (I know, I know a No No) and no the gas wasn't 45 years old!

I had one of those carbide lamps I used to use for trapping. It would strap on your head. Don't know what ever happened to it.
Looks like yours in the top picture on the right side.

Yeah, I used to have a hard hat that had a slot on the front to clip the C Lamp to. It may turn up someday as well

Used it for splunkiin' in my less cautious days.

It's been camping quite a bit and yes I'll use it now that I've found it. Maybe throw it in the tear. I also have the Coleman Peak dual fuel, relatively new. Also a couple of two burner stoves. One almost as old as the 502 the other relatively new.

Relatively new at my age can be anything between 20-40 years

I've use the 502 on many backpacking trips (20-25 years back). The Peak is a little lighter and I've recently made several of the Penny alcohol stoves which I may try on the next backpack into the Cohutta Wilderness. Also made the Penny Wood stove (google it).
