Hello all.
My neighbor and I just started building a teardrop so I thought I'd introduce myself.

My Name is Mike Springer. I live in Prairie City, Oregon. I am a Land Surveyor and I own my own company.

This is our first attempt a building a teardrop. We got plans from a friend of mine and just started in. We are mostly sticking with the plans, but have made a few changes.

I'm sure that over the next few weeks I'll have a ton of questons.

The plans we started using are for a Knuffle Creek TD. We have mostly stuck with them, but have made some minor changes so far.

The biggest difference being that our trailer was slightly different than the plans we started with and we didn't want to start from schatch.

We're still not decided on a siding yet. One thing we heard is that aluminum expands at a different rate than the plywood and the adheisive will soon not be doing what it is supposed to do. If that is the case the molding will be the only thing holding it on. right??

Ls,
Correct. The mouldings hold it on.And the screws you use to hold the moulding on. No problem. Side mouldings, drip edges, t- mouldings, bottom mouldings, door mouldings, door hinges, hurricane hinges, windows, lights, electrical outlets, water fills, shore power points, etc etc. You get the picture. No need for contact cement. The skin's not goin' anywhere.

Image to the playground Mike! Sounds like you have a great start and even some help. Now you just need to make two so you neighbor can have one too. 8) Be sure to take pictures as you go to keep the bubble oil level........... ;)
