newbie wannabe campin' now

Postby harleydog » Thu Apr 09, 2009 2:12 pm

Hello all! my name is Steve im from Alabama and Im ready to build me a camper, which is something that i have been wanting to do for a long time. i am looking at building something similar to the "generic et" on this website. I have worked with the "polymax" boards and i like how its easy to cut, but can anyone tell me what's the best adhesive to use with it? I would like to use it to skin my camper when im ready. Thanks!

Steve, I know the poly panels LOOK like they would be ideal BUT they aren't...essentially nothing will stick to it(for long) and it's thermal expansion characteristics are extreme, resulting in massive "oil canning" problems...those who have tried it...and there have been a few, were SEVERELY dissatisfied with the results...consider something else...I can't stress that enough.......

Image to the playground. I am looking forward to the pictures of this build. The ET is so cool. Enjoy the planning and get some sawdust made.
