Hello to all, I have been creeping around your site for some time now. I have been interested in these little gems for several years now. I have been designing and redesigning balsa wood scale models on my work bench when time allows. My goal is to utilize my 25+ years of woodworking skills into one bad ass little trailer. I have put much time and effort into the design of what I want to build and this is the summer for it all to happen. I have worked out issues I want to change in the design without losing the charm that make the teardrop so appealing. Things such as making the sleeping area as open as possible eliminating the closed in feeling by adding ventilation and overhead views. Stargazing
from your sleeping quarters. The galley is still on the the drawing board. I want to simplify but maximize the space. I hope to visit a gathering this year to help with the design by seeing them in person. Any way your site has been helpful and I'm sure it will continue to do so as I begin construction of the first of my designs( which will be a graduation present to my daughter who is finishing her last year of college) I look forward to diving into this project I have put so much thought into. I'll be in touch. Longboardchris
