New guy on the block!

Just wanted to introduce myself to all. I have been visiting this site for a few months now and I finally decided to pop in. About 3 weeks ago my wife and I ordered a 7 x 14 Cargo Express v-nose trailer. Our plans are to convert it to a camper for ourselves and our 2 kids. I ordered it with 2 windows, ceiling vent w/12v fan and a camper style side entry door w/ screen door. Interior walls are bare (no plywood - open to the frame). I plan on insulating, running electric and finishing off inside. We have not decided on a layout yet. We are thinking of using it as a dual purpose trailer - camping and for cargo hualing.

I will post pics as soon as we pick it up and bring it home.

I just want to say that this site is one of the best sites I have found for gathering info on different subjects in regards to building camper trailers. "ThankYou" to everyone here for that.

Welcome to T&TTT.

A dual purpose Camping/Hauling trailer would be neat.

I'm currently working on my first TD build, but have a 6X12 enclosed trailer doing nothing. Bought it years ago when my son and grandson were moto racing. "Thank God they've grown out of that."

After I complete the TD, I'm thinking of building a slide-in camping room to fit inside the enclosed trailer. The room would be built with a sub-floor on a row of rollers and can be rolled in and out if full use of the trailer is needed for hauling. The trailer has a 6-1/2' rear ramp-door, so rolling the room in and out would be no problem. The rear ramp-door would also be used as a kitchen deck/patio.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling on.

Thank you to all for the Warm Campfire Welcomes. I am looking forward to future postings.
I hope to recieve our trailer within the next week or so. I am getting really excited for the conversion.

My wife and I are trying to make preliminary plans on the layout but it is rather difficult to do without the trailer on site.
All I do know is that there has to be comfortable enough accomodations for 2 adults and 2 boys. And it has to be ready by the begining of the summer for our first major trip.

I am still trying to figure out how to post a avatar ''photo of myself'' As soon as I figure that out I will post.I need to be able to resize photos and I am having a rather difficult time figuring that out. Kodak and my pics programs do not seem to be helpful. Of coarse though I am not a very savy computer person.

I'm intrigued with the cargo conversions and you are starting in a big way.

For a little help with your pictures get Fotosizer at http://www.fotosizer.com

It's a freeware program that makes it easy to size 1 or 100 photos with just a few clicks

I got a resizer program from microsoft. It was a quick download and it works great.
