Who is braving the rain??

Postby Cindy » Tue Apr 14, 2009 7:10 pm

Looks like a small gathering. We are thinking of going down Saturday morning. since Dave is in training and driving to Waco all this week. Of course, it is supposed to rain and we still don't have doors on the tear but that is another problem. We will get up on Saturday and be there early. If you are going to be there, we will see you then.
Can somebody pick up our reservatio and get us a spot? Its in Cynthia Lovelace.

Rain, Rain and more Rain

Postby Cindy » Sat Apr 18, 2009 4:44 pm

Dave and I got up early, packed up and headed to Purtis Creek this morning. A little rain and all 3 of us having colds wasn't going to stop us. We said, "Well, we can set up the easy-up and we'll be OK." We took a dozen donuts. We got there and the lady didn't want to take our money until we decided if we were going to stay. We went in and saw Tammy. Her first words were "You aren't going to stay are you?" Dave said, "No, this is too much rain." We gave her the donuts, we went home and back to bed.
So much for Purtis Creek and the Lovelaces.

I think yesterday's rain lasted from 7am to about 1pm.

I'll offload pictures once I get a computer that feels like cooperating.

Sorry the weather was so bad. Was planning to come for the day Saturday but didn't know how many of you toughed it out so I just stayed home and did absolutely nothing.
