For anyone interested in relamping with LEDs, check out www.superbrightleds.com. They have a wide selection, good prices, and fast shipping.

Love them LEDs until one burned up on me on the road! Where do you get replacements on the road - if you can find one. Just my thoughts - better order two of everything just in case you need a spare - I'll stick with incandescens until LEDs get cheaper and stocked around the nation - My 2 cents

I spend couple of hundred bucks with superbrightleds.com. I am very happy with everything I got from them, and they were knowledgeable and fast. I got all kinds of cool stuff from them. :D

I am switching to all LED's but I will be keeping the incandescent bulbs for backup. My goal is to be able to run on the battery using only a Solar Cell for extended periods.
The next great jump in efficiency will be plasma bulbs.

I won't buy anything from superbright LEDs anymore. I've had bad luck with their products: too many of their LEDs burned out quickly or just plain fell apart in transit.

Hey, BDO -
Thanks for the headsup. What I have received looks to be good quality, but looks can be deceiving. I haven't planned them for anything critical, but will modify my porch light plans to make them relampable.

I wouldn't give up yet, LEDs keep getting better all the time
And it's been awhile since I've used their stuff. I'd look into a Voltage regulator. I think a lot of their LEDs need regulated 12V even though they are listed as auto compatible.
